DXC Technology brings ‘real-life Iron Man’ Richard Browning, to Australia for the first time

In an Australian first, DXC Technology hosted Richard Browning, the founder and chief test pilot of Gravity Industries, on the Gold Coast to demonstrate the world’s first human jet-propulsion suit and flew right before our very eyes!

The British inventor and entrepreneur has successfully invented, built and patented a personal flight system, earning the title of ‘the real-life Iron Man’. His suit technology combines body-mounted miniaturised jet-engines, a specially designed exo-skeleton, and augmented reality helmet – all allowing vertical take-off and flight.

Thrive on change

Innovation is at the core of everything Richard does. Reimagining the future of personal flight, Richard went from an audacious idea to building and commercialising a human jet propulsion suit, powered by six small jet engines, in just 12 months.

For more than 60 years, DXC Technology has inspired businesses to ‘disrupt before being disrupted’, and shares Richard’s vision of harnessing the power of innovation to change the world we live in.

Richard’s approach to innovation, his process of “fail-fast in a safe setting”, and successfully managing risk to achieve incredible outcomes in short timeframes, are imperatives for 21st century business leaders.
