DXC's unique combination of Analytics Natural Language Processing and Business Process Services outsourcing provides the expertise, experience, quality and cost for IDMP data remediation.
As described in the Assessment phase, the data for IDMP will be found in a variety of locations (existing systems and databases, structured documents such as XEVMPD records), but the vast majority of data points will be extracted from unstructured documents found in various content management systems, or even paper.
This process will be done using DXC's unique hybrid approach. DXC's Business Process Services can provide a troop of hands and eyes with regulatory experience to do collection and entry of data. For all but the smallest companies, this can be supplemented with Natural Language Processing customized for the client by DXC's Analytics group.
Even with Natural Language Processing, it is anticipated that exceptions and validation will need human review and correction, and some information may not be able to be located by the first pass of the Natural Language tools. These cases will be reviewed by DXC's Business Process Services, and fed back to the Analytics staff to refine rules for future processing. The rest of the data will be processed using traditional ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools.
The result is a IDMP data hub designed as a staging area for complying with European requirements until the Master Data environment is completed. The IDMP data hub will contain not only the data, but its sources, ensuring that the final state Master Data can be constructed using the most recent data. The system architecture will also be refined during this process with lessons learned about customer data organization, authorities and business processes.
