Versatile document viewer brings regulatory information together in one location.
Viewer is a nimble, easy-to-use solution to view and quality-check — all in one place — in-progress and archived eCTD and NeeS dossiers. The web-based Viewer can be fully integrated with various submission platforms and can securely display submissions created by other eCTD/NeeS tools. Viewer also helps you avoid the expense of obtaining additional submission-building tool licenses or training employees on those tools.
Accessing submission information for reviewing purposes can be a challenge in the life sciences industry. Viewer is a lightweight web-based solution for viewing and quality checking pharmaceutical and biotech dossier applications. With Viewer, users can view submissions in various formats from one interface, regardless of which publishing tool was used to create the submission or storage platform.
Viewer allows users to view all in one place: electronic Common Technical Document (eCTD) submissions, non-eCTD electronic submissions (NeeS) and paper submissions. It also gives users the ability to view submissions in a variety of platforms, such as FirstDoc, Documentum, SharePoint, eCTDXPress, and File Share.
But one of the biggest benefits is that Viewer has an extremely lightweight footprint, so you don’t need any special software to install it on a client. All you need is a web browser, and you can start reviewing the various components of a submission in a single location.
What’s new in Viewer
Document review is a critical part of the eCTD submission process, so providing a familiar interface for users to conduct their reviews and tools that make it easier for them to do their jobs is a priority. With the release of Viewer 4.0, DXC has added some important features that further ease the user experience and improve transparency.
Among the key additions to Viewer are a decoupling feature that gives users greater control over regional updates to the DTD, Watcher tools that allow any dossier changes to be cached in minutes and reflected in Viewer, enhanced search functionalities, and the ability to open and navigate bookmarks and hyperlinks in PDFs without needing to install Acrobat. These and other features respond to the need for simplicity and automation that lets users work more efficiently and companies reduce their costs.
