Strudents at CSC: National Career Week
News Article -- November 26, 2015
During November 23-27, 2015, Kam to reikia?! (Who needs it?!) organization initiated the National Career Week. The patron of this initiative is the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite. The main goal of the Career Week is to bring students and practitioners together to communicate about the career opportunities, so that practitioners from different fields would share their own experiences, career paths, and job specifics, while also answering a lot of questions that young people have about this very relevant topic.
CSC Baltic has already been partnering with Kam to reikia?! for several years. Usually, our employees go to various schools to give lectures to pupils, but this time we had them visiting our office!
On November 26, 20 students from Vilnius Engineering Lyceum together with their teacher were visiting CSC Baltic office. They have spent the whole day with our colleagues from different departments (Service Desk, Project Management, Solution Architecture, Cyber security, and POD) listening about how we are working every day, what kind of tasks and projects we manage, what challenges we face and what kind of opportunities we have while being a part of international business.
Moreover, students enjoyed pizzas during the lunch time, played a few interesting and funny games and even won a very delicious prize!
Their teacher has told us that pupils were very interested in the organized activities and information provided by CSC Baltic employees. “Students have heard a lot about IT profession and how it works in practice. The sessions were very informative and interesting as well as the games we played. I’ve heard students talking that it was the best event during their 12 years at school! We definitely would like to collaborate with CSC in the future as well!” – said the teacher.
Lots of great emotions were capture by our camera.
