Circle K Selects CSC as Digital Transformation Partner in Five-Year, Multi-Million Dollar Deal for Europe

OSLO, Norway, December 7, 2016 - CSC (NYSE: CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, has announced a new strategic agreement with Circle K to manage the transportation retailer’s European Region IT data center and to support its digital transformation journey.
Over five years beginning in 2017, CSC will provide Circle K Europe with a modern, secure and highly automated IT infrastructure based on CSC’s standardized next generation solutions, including CSC’s market leading cloud orchestration layer, Agility Platform,TM along with network, datacenter, mainframe, storage and security. A key component to the agreement is a transition and transformation project, where CSC has been trusted to migrate existing infrastructure based on the IT company’s long-term experience and proven transition frameworks. In total, CSC will deliver more than 30 services covering all of Circle K’s data center services.
Originating from North America, Circle K has in recent years established itself in the European market through acquisitions of Statoil Fuel & Retail, Shell (in Denmark), and Topaz (in Ireland). Circle K has a strategy of price leadership, high growth and customer focus. Circle K Europe was looking for a partner capable of providing support for organizational growth, while maintaining operational efficiency and lowering costs.
