CSC Launches Global Insurance Software Suite for Multi-line, Multilingual, Multi-currency Administration
News Release -- June 09, 2010
Java-based Integral Family to Provide End-to-End Policy/Group Management
FALLS CHURCH, Va., June 9 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced the launch of Integral, a comprehensive software suite for all lines of insurance, including end-to-end policy/group management, product configuration and business analytics capabilities. The portable Java-based Integral architecture integrates multi-line, multilingual and multi-currency insurance processing for life insurance, annuities/pensions, property and casualty/general insurance and group insurance administration, enabling licensees to implement quickly and operate cost-effectively.
Integral represents CSC’s collective insurance expertise and is the outcome of a strategic innovation program to expand the technology platform choices for LIFE/Asia, POLISY/Asia, POLISY/J, LIFE/J and GROUP/Asia family of CSC software. Supported by local, dedicated service delivery teams, those systems are processing at least 65 million policies/groups in more than 34 countries, for a client base of nearly 125 companies.
“Insurers are seeking systems that are, on the one hand, highly integrated, leveraging a common architecture and data model. On the other hand, they should be able to be implemented solutions in a phased, function-by-function or modular approach. The insurers will experience better results from finding modules that are pre-integrated for easier deployment and reduced implementation risks,” said Kimberly Harris-Ferrante, vice president, distinguished analyst and IR chief of Research, Gartner. “Taking this approach, insurers can find improved results including faster return on investment, easier straight-through-processing capabilities, and overall reduced project risks.”
Integral is ideally suited for multinational insurance firms seeking a single platform for regional or international operations; domestic insurance firms wanting to launch a new product quickly without disrupting their existing processing; insurers needing a self-contained insurance administration solution for quick start-up of new ventures; and multi-line insurers looking for a complete, low-maintenance processing capability for a secondary line of business.
As CSC’s latest addition to its extensive portfolio of insurance processing systems, Integral is an example of CSC’s commitment to client choice. Its arrival further enhances CSC’s ability to offer the best solution to the client wherever the client operates.
“To aid our expansion into new markets, we have enhanced some of our best regional, multi-line and multi-currency software for platform portability and reuse globally,” said Ray August, president of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “CSC remains committed to delivering the right solutions to the right markets at the right time to help our clients boost customer service, create efficiencies and meet their growth objectives.”
