CSC Wins $143 Million Contract to Support Department of Labor Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Jan. 31 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the U.S. Department of Labor awarded the company a contract to implement and operate the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs’ Central Bill Process (CBP) service. The contract, which was awarded during CSC’s fiscal 2011 second quarter, has a seven-year period of performance and an estimated total value of $143 million.
Under the terms of the contract, CSC will provide services to process medical bills, facilitate prior authorization of services, respond to inquiries related to medical benefits through a call center and service oriented architecture-based systems, and implement a fraud and abuse detection program.
