CSC Licenses RISKMASTER Claims and Risk Management Software to CEC Entertainment
News Release -- March 02, 2011
Six New Clients Choose System to Streamline Liability and Workers Compensation Claims Processes
FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 2 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that CEC Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: CEC), Irving, Texas, has licensed CSC’s RISKMASTER, an independent system for risk and claims management. The family dining and entertainment firm will use the software to integrate and streamline liability and workers compensation claims administration and risk management processes, including incident and legal matter management, covering more than 500 Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurants operating in 48 states and seven foreign countries or territories.
In addition, five other self-insured organizations from a variety of industries licensed RISKMASTER during CSC’s second and third fiscal quarters. These new clients include a leading university hospital, one of the nation’s largest pharmacy healthcare providers, a major department store chain, a full-service consumer and commercial financial services provider, and a fast-growing grocery retailer with more than 1,000 locations. In addition, one of the nation’s largest natural gas and electric utilities signed an extension to an existing license.
The integrated, browser-based software consolidates multiple business functions – such as claims, risk and legal management and policy administration functionality – into one cohesive solution to provide management with accurate, up-to-date claims and risk data. Now included with each agreement are licenses to RISKMASTER’s Business Analytics component to help firms gain insight into their risk and claims data, empowering them to make proactive business decisions and mitigate losses.
CEC Entertainment is replacing its existing claims administration and risk management information system with RISKMASTER and deploying RISKMASTER’s Business Analytics for enhanced reporting.
“As a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment, we needed an integrated system that would allow us to monitor workers compensation and liability claims across our network of stores,” said Jeffrey Strege, director of Risk Management, CEC Entertainment. “With RISKMASTER and Business Analytics, we are able to efficiently manage our claims processes, while also predicting trends and tracking key metrics in order to better serve our employees and customers.”
“In today’s business environment, many organizations are exploring avenues to improve their operational efficiency while gaining deeper insight into their claims and risk data in order to quickly adapt to changing market conditions and proactively minimize risks,” said Jeffery Schwalk, president of CSC’s Property and Casualty Insurance Division. “RISKMASTER helps them achieve these objectives by integrating more functions on a single platform than any other risk and claims package, and providing powerful, flexible tools that make it easier to understand and manage risk.”
CSC’s RISKMASTER software offers complete liability and workers compensation claims management, from first notice of loss to final disposition, along with a flexible risk management information system. The browser-based system can be installed at a client site or hosted by CSC.
RISKMASTER Business Analytics combines ad hoc reporting, interactive visual analytics, scheduling and distribution to give organizations the knowledge and insight needed to improve their business.
