Bill Szymanski Named Vice President of Civil Group Strategic Capture

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 29 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that Bill Szymanski has been promoted to vice president of capture for its North American Public Sector (NPS) Civil Group. Reporting to Mike Gaffney, president of the NPS Civil Group, Szymanski will lead the Civil Group’s Strategic Capture Organization, which is focused on sustaining high new business and recompete win rates to fuel Civil Group growth.
“With decades of knowledge and experience of civil agencies and their needs for technology-enabled business solutions, Bill has proven that he is capable of securing critical business opportunities,” said Gaffney. “Bill will help strengthen the Civil Group’s leadership position in delivering mission-critical solutions to the federal government.”
With more than 24 years of experience with CSC, Szymanski has served in various operations, account and capture director roles. His contributions have helped drive the growth of the Civil Group. Szymanski has collaborated with numerous federal agencies, including the Department of Interior, Department of Education and Federal Aviation Administration.
Szymanski holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy and environmental science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).
