Our updated Testing as a Service offering enables customers to lower overall test spend – one large airline reduced their costs by 43%. In addition, it means customers can standardize testing tools and processes, increase overall testing effectiveness and have the freedom to consume services they need and not worry about how many resources, tools etc. are required.
Testing as a Service is a consumption-based outsourced delivery model where an offshore testing team produces standardized applications test deliverables, such as test plans and test cases for a fixed cost. These fixed costs are represented by test units rather than currency, because these are universal and do not change due to currency conversions or fluctuations. So if an organization is based in France and the offshore team is in Egypt, this approach lets cost be defined in test units, rather than converting those expenses into a given currency – the value of which would probably change daily.
Actual Testing as a Service execution is provided via public or private cloud and any required test management software is also provided as a service, ensuring customers only pay for licenses used for the duration of the projects, rather than purchasing the licenses outright or for long term durations.
