Pathways for Territorians

Providing Pathways for Territorians

DXC shares a vision of growth and innovation for the Northern Territory and is collaborating with communities to help foster a culture of diversity, inclusion and excellence.

DXC in partnership with local industry, Indigenous businesses, Government and Education, have launched several initiatives to support the Northern Territory community, drive innovation, and create career opportunities including skills pathways programs and digital development.

Community Partnerships

DXC’s partnership with NT Cricket commenced in 2018 with the Nightcliffe cricket club. This expanded in 2019 and DXC was named the official technology partner of NT Cricket and the major partner of the community men's division of the Imparja cup. This included the appointment of an Indigenous Academy Coach with further investment into the pathways for the Territories men’s and women’s Indigenous teams.

In 2020, off the back of the expanded partnership, DXC became Principal Partner of NT Cricket and naming Rights Partner of DXC Arena (formerly Marrara Cricket Ground). Joel Morrison, CEO NT Cricket commented “Our partnership will be crucial in advancing NT Cricket’s aspiration of ensuring the Territory becomes a destination of choice, transforming our community into the Home of Winter Cricket.”

The Shell V-Power Racing Team drivers Fabian Coulthard and Scott McLaughlin got on board to help promote cricket and tourism to the NT, participating in a friendly game of cricket before the Supercars Championship Darwin double-header.

Skills for the future of the NT

DXC is passionate about the future of education in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). That passion flows to developing future industry leaders.

As part of the DXC NT skills pathways program, in November 2020 DXC award four scholarships to students undertaking the Cyber Security Masters program through the College of Engineering, IT and Environment at Charles Darwin University based on academic merit.

These pathway programs are intended to inspire more students to learn about digital technology and cyber security in the future, whilst enhancing students learning experiences and success, with Charles Darwin University recognised as a global leader in this field.
