Corporate Responsibility Programs - Australia and New Zealand
From our employees to our communities to our environment, we believe if we work together, we can do more than any one of us could dream of doing alone.
Each year, we raise money for Cancer Council Australia, through participating in Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, as well as teaming up with a not-for-profit organisation to raise money and cook nutritious meals for Australians in need. Some of the many other activities we support include morning teas for Pink Ribbon, to raise awareness for women's cancer, and the Movember Foundation, to raise awareness of men's cancers and depression. Plus, over the Christmas period we hold a can and food drive collection to help feed hundreds of disadvantaged children, adults and families through the Exodus Foundation.
Our Australian team also enjoys pursuing community change through physical challenges. We support staff, their families and invited customers through participation in charity cycling events around Australia to raise funds to fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
We also support the Dandelion Program, an initiative to build valuable Information Technology skills and careers for people on the autism spectrum. The program focuses on building and developing technical, life, and executive functioning skills of individuals. Not just about employment, it is also about building employability for the trainees.
In Australia we are proud that our corporate responsibility efforts not only benefit our environment, but our business, our customers and employees, their families and friends, and the wider community.
In New Zealand we sponsor Ronald McDonald House Charities which creates and supports programs that strengthen Kiwi families throughout their children’s medical journeys, ensuring they are better placed to cope and help their children heal. Throughout the year, we also get the opportunity to cook meals for resident families, amongst other activities.
Our New Zealand team also attend annual fund raising fashion shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, for Breast Cancer Cure, New Zealand’s only not-for-profit organisation established solely to find a cure for breast cancer.
Men’s Health Trust, a New Zealand charity that aims to improve the lives of men by inspiring them to make positive and rewarding lifestyle choices for improved health and awesomeness, is also supported by the team who attend annual breakfasts, golf tournaments, and other activities.
