Congratulations to DXC customer, the New South Wales Electoral Commission, whose project, iVote at the 2015 NSW State General Election, has won the Service Delivery category in the Excellence in eGovernment Awards.
The Awards, which recognise and promote excellence, innovation and professionalism in the use of Information and Communications Technology across local, state and federal government agencies, were announced by Mr John Sheridan, Australian Government Chief Technology Officer (AGCTO), Federal Department of Finance, at the CeBIT Australia Awards presentation dinner on Tuesday, 3 May 2016.

iVote®, a remote electronic voting system, is a form of voting where eligible voters can vote using the internet or telephone as an alternative to voting at a polling place. The original impetus was to enable electors who are blind or have low vision to cast an independent vote, the legislation subsequently broadened those eligible to use the iVote system to electors who have reading difficulties, or have other disabilities, live more than 20km from a polling place or will be interstate or overseas on election day.
DXC played a major role in the development of the security around the iVote solution and participated as the trusted partner to the New South Wales Electoral Commission during the preceding week and then polling day at the 2015 NSW State General Election.
