2019 NAB Supplier Awards

DXC Technology is proud to announce that the DXC Dandelion Program has been awarded the Diversity, Inclusion and Sustainability Award at the 2019 NAB Supplier Awards held on Wednesday 13 November 2019 at the Metropolis, in Melbourne. The award was accepted on behalf of DXC by Michael Fieldhouse, Executive Lead, DXC Social Impact Practice.
The NAB Supplier Awards are an opportunity to bring together leading Australian and global NAB suppliers to celebrate their success and to learn more about NAB’s future organisational strategy.
The DXC Dandelion Program is an initiative to build valuable information technology skills and careers for people on the autism spectrum. With an unacceptably high rate of unemployment in the autistic community, the DXC Dandelion Program builds an environment that supports and celebrates the talents and skills of people on the autism spectrum, and focuses on the issue of sustainable employment by providing participants with technical, life and executive functioning skills to increase employability and pursue a career in information technology.
At the end of 2018, NAB and DXC entered into a partnership to implement the Neurodiversity at NAB program in Melbourne. The program’s key objective was to provide individuals on the autism spectrum with the opportunity to build thriving careers with NAB and to support them into the culture and fabric of the bank.
Since the program was established in May this year within NAB’s cyber security business unit, the DXC Dandelion Program team has added extraordinary value to improving efficiency and productivity, achieving key targets and improving the service to NAB employees and customers by provisioning and fulfilling critical applications with high accuracy and speed.
