Project “Connected Vehicle Security” - GuardKnox
As cars become more connected to online services, which creates a unique driving experience, they are also more vulnerable to outside attacks.
DXC Technology is aware of this risk and helps protect car fleets around the world.
DXC Technology and the Tel Aviv-based security startup GuardKnox teamed up to provide an end-to-end cyber health fleet monitoring solution for vehicles. Goals of the project include:
- Security for connected cars
- Monitoring of security incidents in the DXC Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Real-time monitoring of fleet cyber-health
- Deployment of car services in a safe environment
By combining DXC Technology’s best in class security services portfolio and GuardKnox’ unique experience in securing connected vehicles, this partnership is able to offer a unique solution to guard car fleets.
GuardKnox provides a comprehensive cyber security hardware solution with lockdown methodology. DXC Technology monitors the security status of the cars in real-time and highlights relevant security events. The solution easily covers a large amount of cars.
In in the end, all cars of a fleet are protected from their hostile surrounding and provide their information to the Security Operation Center (SOC). The DXC Technology SOC records all events and triggers alarms according to detected security incidents.

Our future vision
In the future, we will distribute other services to the cars using GuardKnox’ technology. We track impacts that can occur during the remote service deployment inside the cars control system. This system grants an unproblematic process for the installation of connected car applications.
GuardKnox’s Secure Network Orchestrator™ (SNO) offers the automotive market a comprehensive vehicle cyber security solution which protects against any type of known and unknown cyber-attack.
