Emotions are an essential part of our everyday life. We use them to express our own feelings and to determine the best way to approach other people. Therefore, it is hard to understand why emotions only play such a small role in today’s digitalized products or services. By using the Affectiva emotion detecting software, it is possible to respond to users‘ emotions in real time. DXC and Affectiva developed an emotion-enabled, smart car ambiance controller. The passenger’s mood is automatically detected and the entertainment systems, including light and music, are adapted accordingly. In the future, emotion-enabled services will further personalize everyday experiences and make journeys more exciting.
