Application for schools to manage registrations and absenteeism
Customer:
FlandersChallenge:
- The Flemish Government was looking for an application for the education and training policy domain to manage the follow-up of pupils.
- Registration of pupils was not managed centrally. As capacity of schools is limited, parents often register their kids in more schools to secure a place.
- Solving capacity problem: deal with the risk of having too many pupils and too few classrooms.
Solution:
- Installation of DISCIMUS, an application to manage registrations and absenteeism.
- Customized Java application.
- DXC Technology made a technical design based on the analysis of the Flemish government.
Results:
- The agency AgODi, is the first contact for schools concerning digital data exchange.
- Less administration for the school secretary. Less administration means more education.
- Centralized system for pupil registration.
