Everest Group Research Names DXC a Leader in Cloud Enablement Services
Researchers at Everest Group named DXC Technology a leader in Cloud Enablement Services in report, citing DXC’s “ability to offer reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on a global scale and strong customer engagement” in helping organizations move to Hybrid IT.
The report, “Cloud Enablement: Market Trends and Services PEAK Matrix™ Assessment 2018: Containers and SDI Gathering Steam,” analyzed 21 leading service providers and rated them as Leaders, Major Contenders and Aspirants.

DXC emerged as a “Leader,” noting that the company (formed in April 2017 with the merger of CSC and HPE Enterprise Services) currently manages 223,000 virtual machines, 69,000 computational nodes and 252,000 petabytes of storage and has a strong portfolio of services including advisory, transformation and migration services, enterprise solutions on demand, brokerage and integration services, and managed cloud services.
“By leveraging these end-to end capabilities, DXC offers to enable digital transformation across enterprise environments,” according to Everest Group.
The demand for cloud enablement services from providers such as DXC is being driven by technology complexities associated with hybrid cloud deployments and lack of internal skills. According to Everest Group, this phenomenon as newfound implications, given the rapid rise of containers and emergence of software-defined concepts within enterprise data centers. This is trend is expanding support for multiple industry-standard cloud platforms, hybrid cloud consulting, rapid migration, cloud security, multi-cloud orchestration and vertical-specific cloud solutions.
In addition to DXC’s end-to-end services, the analyst praised the company’s broad partner network, including AWS, Microsoft, DELL/EMC/VMware, ServiceNow and Carbonite Double-Take, noting that the company can use it’s “pure-play standing to build innovative offerings with market-leading players.”
