Digital Transformation Center – Adelaide, Australia
DXC Technology’s Digital Transformation Centers are places for digital innovation, discovery, development and delivery. At the Digital Transformation Centers we work jointly with clients to rapidly solve their business problems and accelerate business value.
Today’s enterprises know they need to transform to thrive in the digital age. Many are in the midst of their own digital transformation. However, they may not be achieving their desired business outcomes.
DXC's Digital Transformation Centers (DTCs) showcase innovative and evolving approaches for digital transformation. They enable clients to observe and engage in the development and delivery of end-to-end digital transformation at scale.
“DXC has a number of Digital Transformation Centers around the world. We are excited to be standing up a center that harnesses the power of the best local Adelaide talent — IT and otherwise — and the deep expertise of the greater DXC,” said Avedis Torossian, Adelaide Digital Transformation Center lead. “The Adelaide DTC focuses on delivering real outcomes and early value for our customers.”
At the Adelaide Digital Transformation Center we help clients build strategies and roadmaps by understanding the business problem and deploying incremental solutions. We have a set of prebuilt strategic frameworks to jumpstart this work.
When we have a problem to solve, we bring together partners and experts to make a solution happen. Our processes are designed to quickly test innovation, and where potential is identified, rapidly move the innovation to operations. This is how we accelerate value.
Bionix expertise
A unique feature of the Adelaide Digital Transformation Center is our team of global experts on DXC BionixTM, our approach to intelligent automation at scale. Leveraging this expertise, the center leads clients through their digital transformation journey, moving from old and traditional ways of working to new methods that achieve operational efficiencies and transform customer engagement.
We take solutions we’ve built and integrate them with the client’s existing IT environments — both traditional and digital. It doesn’t help to have a fast application at the front that slows down as it hits traditional operations in the back end.
Complementing our Bionix expertise, we provide multiskilled agile teams that use a DevSecOps approach to ensure continuous transformation while minimizing risk. This is how we deliver digital.
University ties, key training partners
To build on DXC’s expertise and talent base, the Adelaide DTC has key partnerships with the University of South Australia (UniSA), training provider Technical and Further Education, South Australia (TAFE SA), and Microsoft.
- The partnership with UniSA is through a three-year honors degree that is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between UniSA and DXC. The final year of the degree includes a paid internship at DXC that provides hands-on work experience. Several Adelaide DTC team members are UniSA graduates.
- The partnership with TAFE SA includes a nationally accredited qualification that encompasses on-campus training and hands-on experience at the Adelaide DTC.
- The partnership with Microsoft centers around the Microsoft Traineeship Program, which helps to create a pipeline of IT talent in South Australia. The program consists of one-year traineeships that combine on-the-job, paid work experience with a Certificate IV in Information Technology and a Microsoft Azure Certification delivered through TAFE SA. The Adelaide Digital Transformation Center provides on-the-job work experience at DXC and ensures that trainees obtain relevant skills aligned to some of the industry’s most in-demand jobs.
Other programs in the Australia and New Zealand region that support clients on their digital transformation journey include additional university partnerships and collaborative research between industry and academia at locations in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
