DXC’s OmniLocation is a suite of safety location systems for tracking people, vehicles, materials and assets — in motion and in difficult terrain. OmniLocation adds important features to standard location systems, making them “intelligent.” Because OmniLocation is technology- and vendor-independent, it can add the benefits of intelligence to virtually any location system.
The OmniLocation suite includes three offerings that address a range of location requirements: LOFT (Location Object Field Tracking), LISA (Location Intelligent Safety Application) and CoCAT (Chain of Custody Asset Tracking).
LOFT: Location Information in Near-Real Time
LOFT is an OmniLocation solution designed primarily for distributed or large-scale industrial enterprises and government agencies/departments that have remote infrastructure that must be inspected and maintained. The performance of these necessary tasks creates safety and security risks. To mitigate these risks, the geographic position of individual workers, groups or vehicles must be continuously available in near-real time.
LISA: Proactively Addressing Safety Hazards
LISA is a DXC application that addresses the high cost of industrial accidents and, consequently, the critical need to comply with regulations to enhance the safety of facilities and personnel. By combining state-of-the-art, RFID-based location tracking with active controls, LISA improves the safety of facilities and installations by making it possible to avoid safety hazards rather than simply reacting to accidents.
CoCAT: Tracking Ownership and Custody of Hazardous Materials
CoCAT is a real-time, intelligent safety location system that improves accountability for the transportation of high-value, hazardous or dangerous waste material by fixing location, establishing presence, and tracing ownership and custody.
