Enterprises are challenged every day to keep their data secure, even as they undertake digital transformation. To be truly cyber resilient, they must be prepared for the worst. It is no longer a question of if but when a breach will happen, and what the likely consequences will be.
Cyber security must be considered as part of the digital transformation approach, not after the fact. The DXC Cyber Reference Architecture (CRA) is a methodology that ensures security strategy is aligned with business strategy and focused on resiliency against threats. It is used to:
- Understand which objectives matter most to the business
- Define security requirements to achieve those objectives
- Map out the best approach for deploying targeted security capabilities to support the plan at optimized cost
The CRA is field-proven, used by numerous customers including those in telecommunications, manufacturing and financial services. The CRA is aligned with best practices, drawing upon the experience of DXC Technology cyber security experts who run some of the world’s largest security solutions. It is technology agnostic, detailed and comprehensive, covering strategic, tactical and operational concerns while addressing people, processes and technology.
"Today's threat landscape calls for a new protection philosophy. Our Cyber Reference Architecture is a product-agnostic methodology that accelerates cyber resilience and digital transformation."
DXC consultants and architects use the CRA daily and update it regularly, driving its continuous improvement. DXC used the CRA to produce its own General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) diagnostic and GDPR blueprint, mapping regulations to required capabilities, structuring the architecture layers and forming work packages and dependencies — all while providing evidence for compliance.
A key differentiator for DXC, the CRA provides a common language and vision to help enterprises accelerate a secure digital transformation. Learn more in the DXC Cyber Reference Architecture white paper.
