5 ways DXC’s partnership with Microsoft helps clients

Enterprise companies are driving digital transformation to enhance collaboration, increase mobility, improve efficiencies, engage customers and drive innovation. Here are five ways that DXC Technology’s partnership with Microsoft addresses these priorities.
Enhance collaboration
For many companies, traditional email-based workflows are not optimal for collaboration. With multiple threads on similar topics, links to key resources buried in long conversations, and hundreds of messages per day, it is hard to prioritize tasks and information. Additionally, email threads often silo conversations into small groups, thereby losing the opportunity for creative teamwork.
To solve these challenges, we have deployed collaboration solutions such as Microsoft Teams. Teams brings everything together into a shared workspace where employees around the globe can chat, meet, share files and work with business apps. Employees can communicate more effectively with online meetings, calls and web conferences. They can collaborate on files with built-in Microsoft Office 365 apps such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft SharePoint. All this activity is covered by end-to-end security, administrative control, and compliance powered by Microsoft 365 Enterprise.
After deploying Teams, our clients immediately discover the benefits of having one place to create, share and consume. They can interact with their document stores seamlessly, enhancing productivity. Using the robust search functionality of Teams, employees can discover the people and information they need, when they need it, in Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint. They can edit documents, spreadsheets and slides together simultaneously, in real time, right from the Teams interface.
Increase mobility
Collaboration is amplified when collaboration solutions are truly mobile. Our clients’ workforces are increasingly mobile, requiring that they access and interact with content anywhere and on any device.
Our collaboration solutions offer a rich mobile interface through Teams. Regardless of which device they are on or where they are located, thousands of workers use Teams every day to chat, call, meet, coauthor and learn. With high-quality, reliable voice and videoconferencing, they can connect to customers and to one another with confidence at any time, dramatically improving productivity.
Improve efficiencies
While collaboration and mobility address the front end of our clients’ user experiences, digital transformation also demands transformation of the data center. Many of our clients envision migrating their IT infrastructure from on-premises assets and private data centers to the public cloud but are unsure how to manage this transition while maintaining 24x7 operations.
Many clients adopt a hybrid approach, with workloads running across both private data centers and the public cloud. These hybrid scenarios require a level of sophistication and maturity that many organizations lack. With DXC’s proven approach, tools and processes, organizations can minimize risk and speed their transformation to the cloud. Our approach even enables hybrid scenarios to help customers migrate from mainframe to hybrid workloads on the Microsoft Azure public cloud.
To help clients strategically navigate their path to hybrid, DXC has established the Microsoft Azure Digital Transformation Practice. DXC has achieved the Azure Expert Managed Services Provider certification for the second year, providing clients with assurance that our approach minimizes risk and accelerates transformation as they migrate workloads to Azure.
Improving efficiencies in migrating to Azure is clearly seen with SAP workloads. For example, DXC led the migration of Owen-Illinois’ SAP systems to Azure and is now managing those systems. Within only 4 weeks, DXC was able to build the first SAP HANA instances on Microsoft Azure, install DXC monitoring tools and simultaneously launch the SAP management service for Owen-Illinois. Engage customers
Many of our clients are looking for ways to deepen their engagements with their customers in creative ways, through machine learning, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. Social listening and engagement platforms allow them to monitor social media channels for mentions of their brand, competitors, products and other relevant topics, and then allow them to engage with and respond to customers quickly and effectively.
Our intelligent solutions built on the Microsoft platform help clients engage their customers in real time and provide an omnichannel customer experience, ensuring consistency in service, inventory, pricing, purchasing and returns across all channels for seamless interactions and enhanced customer experience.
To help engage customers more effectively, we have partnered with Microsoft to deploy solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. Engaging customers is especially valuable in the retail industry, where retailers are seeking new and innovative approaches to connect with their customers. DXC’s innovative “retail in a box” solution provides an entire retail approach based on Dynamics 365 that enhances our clients’ ability to engage their customers more intimately.
Drive innovation
As our clients continue on their digital transformation journey, they seek to drive innovation throughout the organization.
Many of our clients are leveraging connected technology with internet of things (IoT) technology and devices, including sensors, beacons, smart shelves and digital price tags to engage customers in a retail setting and enhance the in-store experience.
Embracing mixed reality platforms helps our clients drive innovation. We were recently admitted to Microsoft’s Mixed Reality Partner Program to provide end-to-end mixed reality capabilities and quick-start solutions such as the management of HoloLens devices and services around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides.
