EduCampus Services Chooses DXC Technology to Provide a New Digital Student Records Management System

Dublin, Ireland, 7 August, 2020 – DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) today announced the signing of a Framework Agreement with EduCampus Services to provide a new digital Student Records Management System (SRMS) for its Institute of Technology clients. DXC will collaborate on this system modernization initiative with Ellucian, the higher education software and solutions company. DXC and Ellucian have worked together for more than 15 years, delivering services and solutions to the higher education sector in Ireland.

Under the new agreement, DXC will design, implement and provide ongoing support of a digital SRMS for EduCampus clients for the next 10 years, serving 66,000 students across the Institute of Technology and Technological University sectors. EduCampus and DXC Technology have agreed an initial contract valued at €14m for the provision of the SRMS to the existing client community until June 2024. This agreement provides for the managed support, cloud-hosting, and implementation of the latest Ellucian SRMS software platform.

The modernised digital platform will reduce the current administrative burden by providing staff with mobile-enabled technology to help streamline key administration tasks with a consistent technology offering across each institute. Students will benefit from a single sign on self-service platform that will enable them to complete their admission, registration, and payment of fees as well as review grades on an ongoing basis from their mobile.

Administration and Academic staff across the client community will also benefit from greater flexibility with the mobile-enabled technology supporting the remote submission of grades as well as the ability to integrate this technology with other systems currently used across the higher education sector.

The Framework Agreement also provides a contract mechanism for other educational bodies to take advantage of the additional functionality of this new platform with the potential to reach over 220,000 students as other higher education institutions modernise their platforms and demand increases in Ireland.

Speaking on the agreement, Paddy Naughton, Chief Executive, EduCampus Services, said: “In securing this 10 year arrangement for the provision of a Student Records Management System, EduCampus continues to provide strategic leadership to the higher education sector in Ireland, ensuring our clients have access to innovative technology, enabling them to respond to, and optimise the transformational changes occurring in the Irish education and research environment. Since EduCampus Services began in 2015, DXC have demonstrated a high level of professionalism in supporting EduCampus as we worked through a very complex programme to modernise our services, we’re delighted to continue our strong working relationship into the future.”

Rowan McGrath, Managing Director of DXC Technology in Ireland, added: “DXC is delighted to have been awarded this significant modernisation project following a competitive tender process. We look forward to working with EduCampus and the Institutes to deliver the benefits of our integrated Enterprise Technology Stack such as a modern, scalable, cloud-based platform – reducing administrative overhead for staff and students alike, standardising processes across the Institutes and reducing future operating costs by only paying for services consumed.”
