CSC RECEIVES ‘POSITIVE’ RATING IN P&C INSURANCE CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION MARKETSCOPE REPORT

FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 20 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that its Exceed Claims software for tier one property and casualty (P&C) carriers received a "Positive" rating in Gartner's MarketScope for North American Property and Casualty Insurance Claims Administration Systems report, authored by Stephen Forte, a Gartner research director.
CSC is one of five insurance software vendors whose claims administration systems were evaluated by Gartner. Based on the year-end 2008 survey of Gartner customers globally, claims administration remains a top priority in 2009 among P&C insurers. The report includes only systems that provide end-to-end claims administration functionality and have at least 10 claims administration clients in production in North America, among other requirements. Criteria for the ratings include: market understanding, offering strategy, product/service, overall viability, customer experience and sales execution/pricing.
