CSC Names Carlos C. Solari Vice President, Cyber Technology and Services

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 22 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) named Carlos C. Solari, vice president, Cyber Technology and Services. He will report to Samuel S. Visner, CSC’s lead executive for Cyber and vice president for strategy and business development of the North American Public Sector (NPS) Enforcement, Security and Intelligence Group.
In this role, Solari will manage the development of a wide range of cyber solutions, technologies and services related to security in computer network operations. Among his responsibilities will be the overarching management of the delivery of cyber solutions and services for CSC's customers throughout the public and private sectors.

Solari brings to CSC more than 30 years of experience in information technology (IT). Most recently, he held several senior management roles with Alcatel-Lucent, including vice president for Security Strategy and Solutions, leading the company’s cyber security efforts; and vice president, Quality, Security and Reliability. Previously, Solari served as the chief information officer at the Executive Office of the President. In this role he developed and implemented the strategy and enterprise architecture for a major systems renovation covering all aspects of the enterprise computing serving the White House and its supporting offices. Prior to that, he managed several large-scope, full life-cycle IT programs for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In addition to Solari’s professional work experience he is also the co-author of a book on cyber security entitled, Security in a Web 2.0+ World (2009).
