CSC Wins $67 Million Army Engineering and IT Support Services Contract

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 15 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the U.S. Army awarded the company a task order to support the Program Executive Office Command Control Communications - Tactical (PEO C3T) and subordinate program managers and offices. The task order, which was awarded during CSC’s fiscal 2011 second quarter, has a one-year base period and a 10-month option, bringing the estimated total 22-month value to $67 million. This task order is awarded under the Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract vehicle originally awarded in 2006.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will support a diverse range of engineering, architecture, integration and readiness services that span the total life-cycle of battle command systems. Services include system of systems engineering and integration, network and interoperability engineering, architecture development and information assurance. Services must be planned and executed with special consideration for the U.S. Army warfighting mission and units as they undergo exercises and training events, deployment, operations, redeployment and reset.

The PEO C3T is responsible for all facets of developing, fielding and sustaining Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, and for the acquisition, development and integration of secure tactical communications for the digitized battlefield.
