CSC Wins Two Task Orders to Provide Department of Transportation Volpe Center Support

FALLS CHURCH, Va., May 16 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration has awarded the company two task orders to provide information technology (IT) support service to the John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. The task orders, awarded to CSC during the company's fourth quarter fiscal year 2011, fall under the Volpe Transportation Information Project Support Services (V-TRIPS) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (IDIQ) and have a 52-month period of performance with an estimated contract value of $48 million.
Under the terms of the task orders, CSC will continue to provide information technology, software development and testing support for the Volpe Center's highway safety and environmental initiatives in support of the Safety Management Systems and the Environmental and Energy Systems Centers of Innovation. The work involves delivering automation software and applications that range from enhanced surface safety monitoring to advanced weather modeling.
