News Release -- August 29, 2011
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Aug. 29 – The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) awarded CSC (NYSE: CSC) two contracts to provide management, operational and logistical support for its Mail Transport Equipment Service Centers (MTESCs) located in Lakeville, Minn., and Barrington, N.J. The contracts, which have a three-year base and two two-year options, have an estimated combined seven-year value of $83 million. This contract was awarded to CSC during the first quarter of the company’s fiscal year 2012. CSC will now operate nine of the 15 MTESCs in the United States.
Under the terms of the contracts, CSC will provide program management, information systems support and logistical services. CSC employees will receive, examine, route, repair or recycle/dispose of mail transport equipment and will work to continuously improve equipment processing, repair and distribution functions.
