CSC and Infovisionix Demonstrate Combined Capabilities at Booth 1883 of National Retail Federation’s “BIG Show” 2012
FALLS CHURCH, Va., and IRVINE, Ca. – Jan. 16 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) and Infovisionix announced today at the NRF Big Show 2012 an agreement that will incorporate the Infovisionix suite of retail reporting and analysis tools as part of CSC’s Retail Enterprise Intelligence (CREI) offering. The new capabilities complement CSC’s long history of helping retailers understand and improve key operational and customer performance metrics. CREI is available as an enterprise solution, or as a service, powered by CSC’s global technology management capabilities. Going forward, CSC will also adopt the “Infovisionix Retail Intelligence” analytics application suite as its foundation for the retail reporting and analytics toolset. CREI is currently offered in the United States and Europe.
“We chose the Infovisionix Retail Intelligence application suite because it is an enterprise-class solution that has both considerable depth and breadth of reporting, analytics and decision-making frameworks,” said John Gentry, managing director, Global Consumer Products and Retail Group, CSC. “Our clients are looking for specific retail expertise and better ways to understand and serve the ‘constantly connected customer.’ These are customers who frequently interact with our clients by purchasing at store level, online and with mobile devices.”
Targeted for large and medium retailers, the CREI offering extends CSC’s Retail Business Excellence capabilities, which include retail domain business consulting services, application integration, systems implementation and cloud-based services. New elements to the portfolio of services include the Infovisionix Retail Intelligence analytics application suite of retail reporting, analytics and decision-making frameworks. The CREI offering enables retailers to identify and focus on the key challenges that constantly connected customers present by applying the proper reporting and analysis tools to understand their behavior. It then implements these reporting and analysis capabilities either on the retailer site or hosts it in a cloud environment.
Arun Dharbal, managing partner of CSC’s Global Oracle Practice commented: “CSC is pleased to be partnering with Infovisionix. By adding a suite of powerful reporting, analytics and decision-making frameworks to our CREI offering, retailers can now more effectively address one of their biggest challenges today — understanding the constantly connected customer. Our extensive Oracle experience at CSC in the retail sector enables our ability to implement the Infovisionix Retail Intelligence analytics application suite easily at the retailer’s site. Infovisionix uses Oracle’s high-performance database and its comprehensive 3NF retail data model. The Infovisionix relationship also reaffirms CSC’s commitment to developing Oracle-related solutions for the retail space.”
“The Infovisionix and CSC collaboration is perfect for retailers because it combines a suite of superior reporting and decision-making analytics with CSC’s Oracle implementation expertise and global and technology management expertise — all wrapped up with the deep retail domain experience of both Infovisionix and CSC,” said Rick Dutta, CEO of Infovisionix. ”The ability to have it hosted gives maximum flexibility to retailers as they strive to understand today’s constantly connected customer.”
