CSC Wins National Institutes of Health IT Services and Solutions Contract

FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 3 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it is one of 54 companies awarded an information technology (IT) services and “as a service” solutions contract by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC). The Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3), an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC), has a 10-year performance period with an estimated ceiling value of $20 billion for all awardees. The contract was signed in the first quarter of CSC fiscal year 2013.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will compete for tasks to provide a broad range of service solutions for federal, civilian or Department of Defense agencies to meet their IT requirements. These include health and biomedical-related IT services for scientific, administrative, operational, managerial and information management requirements.
Customers can use the contract vehicle to procure services that address the Office of Management and Budget’s “Cloud First” strategy, which includes data center consolidation, cloud computing solutions and cybersecurity. CSC is also eligible to provide integration services, CIO support, outsourcing, digital government and enterprise resource planning for business transformation and system modernization.
For the past 10 years, CSC has performed work under NITAAC’s predecessor contract, CIO-SP2i. The company was also a contractor for the center’s first GWAC, CIOSP, awarded in 1996.
