Analyst NelsonHall names DXC an overall “Leader” in cyber resiliency services
Analyst NelsonHall named DXC Technology as an overall Leader in cyber resiliency services, citing DXC’s ability to deliver immediate benefits to customers and meet their future needs through artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, IoT and operational technologies (OT).
“DXC is positioned as a Leader in NelsonHall’s Cyber Resiliency Services NEAT evaluation due to its strong cybersecurity capabilities offered as standalone services or part of an end-to-end IT solution,” said Mike Smart, senior analyst and operations officer at NelsonHall. “As part of this capability, DXC has a deeper knowledge of the customer's business, supporting response to threats and building plans for business continuity.”
One of DXC’s advantages, according to the NelsonHall Vendor Evaluation & Assessment Tool (NEAT) report, is its ability to offer cybersecurity as part of an end-to-end IT services capability.
"DXC has a greater ability to know the customer's business and can better respond to threats and build plans for business continuity.”
“As part of this capability, DXC has a greater ability to know the customer's business and can better respond to threats and build plans for business continuity,” said Mike Smart, senior analyst and operations officer at NelsonHall.
NelsonHall also noted:
- DXC has one of the largest security research capabilities used to develop detailed blueprints and work packages in its Cyber Reference Architecture (CRA) to enable DXC to provide customers with quick implementations and estimations of service
- DXC has a large scale in cybersecurity, demonstrated by its global network of SOCs and 4k cybersecurity FTEs that can support the majority of large-scale security contracts.
- DXC has extensive cybersecurity research capabilities, numerous
blueprints and playbooks. - DXC aims to provide resiliency as part of a wider IT services engagement for which it would have a deeper knowledge of customer business operations and be more able to support large enterprises in becoming and remaining resilient.
- As DXC invests in more advanced security services and focuses on the likes of AI, IoT, and bots, it will introduce more services to cater to these offerings, and as such will be focusing more on industry-specific offerings for manufacturing, energy and utilities, healthcare, and transportation
“Organizations need to build security into the very fabric of the digital enterprise,” said Mark Hughes, senior vice president and general manager of Security at DXC Technology. “DXC’s approach is to provide next-generation digital services with a high degree of automation through a Security Platform that applies lean process, deep analytics and intelligent automation to the security information and event management (SIEM) process.”
NelsonHall noted that DXC provides “an end-to-end security offering from advisory to architecture, implementation and management” through a full range of services:
- Security risk management
- Intelligent security operations
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Infrastructure and endpoint security
- Data protection and privacy
Looking to the future
NelsonHall forecasts that DXC’s integration of security services into its digital initiatives such as Bionix, DXC’s approach to intelligent automation at scale designed to maximize performance and value, will “further leverage automation across services provided for customers, providing more automated response services.”
“As part of the strategy, DXC will look to integrate more AI into security services, to continue the use of AI for analytics and towards the end of the period, investing in services for the security of AI systems,” the report said.
