DXC Lorenzo Activities SolutionTM supports clinicians and other care providers in recording and managing activities that must be performed to deliver patient care.
DXC Lorenzo Activities Solution is part of the integrated DXC LorenzoTM electronic patient record (EPR) solution. It supports clinicians and other care providers in recording and managing activities that must be performed to deliver patient care. The solution comprises an activity catalogue, with activities linking to other Lorenzo functionalities; a work-list to view and perform outstanding activities; and icons to indicate the status of an individual patient’s activities.
Lorenzo Activities Solution assists clinicians and non-clinicians in performing activities, and it allows care coordinators to monitor completion. Currently, clinicians can record activities manually with the system. This feature is being enhanced to pull in activities automatically from other sources, such as patient care plans and clinical decision support. The functionality is being introduced in all Lorenzo care settings, starting with Emergency Care.

The solution grants clinicians a better overview of all patient activities and results in activities being performed and recorded only once, rather than being duplicated unintentionally.

It does this by giving clinicians a comprehensive overview of all activities planned and completed for a patient. Once an activity has been marked as completed, it is not available for clinicians to perform again.
Key Features
- Patient Activity Status. Lorenzo Activities Solution includes icon indicators to show whether a patient has outstanding activities, no activities or only completed activities. These icons can be included in an Emergency Care whiteboard and inpatients’ overview so users can see, at a glance, which patients have outstanding activities. Clicking the icon for “no activities” allows users to record new patient activities.
- Activity Work-List. Lorenzo Activities Solution introduces a new work-list control to Lorenzo. By clicking the icon that marks a patient, users open the work-list displaying activities for one patient or multiple patients. The status of each activity can be updated immediately.
- Multiple Lorenzo Settings. Lorenzo Activities Solution is available for Lorenzo Emergency Care and will soon be available for Lorenzo Inpatients. Following that, it will be delivered in Lorenzo Caseloads, Lorenzo Outpatients, Lorenzo Patient Lists and Lorenzo EPR. Each of these settings will have its own activity catalogue, ensuring that appropriate patient activities are available.
- Integration with Lorenzo Functionality. As delivered, Lorenzo Activities Solution enables clinicians to manually and efficiently record patient activities. In Lorenzo Inpatients, configuration will allow users to start patient activities automatically upon admission. With future enhancements, the Activity Work- List will automatically populate activities from patient care plans, clinical decision support rule execution, protocols and integrated care pathways.
